Okay things are serious right now. One dress has torn all of humanity apart and Twitter, Instagram and Facebook users have been worked into a frenzy. It all started with one simple question: What colour is this dress below?

Cue endless debate.

You might have seen this dress as blue and black, however others are seeing it as white and gold, and it’s a genuine conundrum. What’s even weirder is that when I first looked at the picture, it was blue and black for me but in the last few hours I’ve been seeing it as white and gold. I have no idea what caused my eyes to switch!

The dress is apparently an optical illusion and depending on your eye sight, you will see a different version of the dress. It almost reminds me of that ballerina who spins clock-wise for some people, and anti-clock-wise for other people. I had a friend who could make her change direction at her will; so I think today’s dress picture might be similar.

There have also been endless memes and jokes about this dress as people on Twitter express their confusion and frustration after simply struggling to reach a point of agreement with regards to the colour of this dress. What colour do you see it?
