Zahara to sue True Love

The headline "Zahara: Marriage, Drugs and Selling Records" made headlines this past festive season after it was discovered that there was no mention of drugs in the actual feature written on Zahara as part of her January cover story for True Love Magazine.

What the singer did respond to (quite vaguely I might add), was the interviewer's questions about an alleged drinking habit and the fact that her friends reportedly call her house a bottle store, according to a report published in today's Sowetan newspaper.

She did clearly state that she has never been on drugs but that is where that discussion ended.

This is not the first in a string of negative and misleading reports about her but she confirmed to the paper that she is tired of her name being dragged through the mud and in an effort to seek retribution, she is starting with True Love Magazine.

"It's misleading because when you read inside the magazine, in the article there is nothing about drugs. They show everything including exclusive pictures of me and then outside because they want to make sales they then put drugs as a headline," she told the paper.

She is worried that those who do not have money to buy the magazine and read the actual story will take the headline at face value and make assumptions about her based on that alone.

An unidentified member of her legal team confirmed to the paper that she will be pursuing the law suit under defamation of character as early as next Monday.
