Zodwa Wabantu is one of South Africa's most loved entertainers for her raw and provocative persona. But it seems that Zodwa keeps running in to trouble when she travels out of the country.

First, it was being turned around at customs when she landed in Zambia last year. She was booked to perform in Lusaka, Zambia by Sunset Sound Production but the National Arts Council of Zambia refused to allow her to enter the country.

When asked about it during her interview with Pearl Thusi on BET Africa's Behind The Story, Zodwa seemed unfazed by the ordeal. "That's the view of the government, that's not the people." explained Zodwa. The star still hopes to perform for all her fans across the continent.

Unfortunately, she's hit another snag in her plan to meet her fans. Zodwa is booked alongside Babes Wodumo and DJ Tira to play the Baceth Music Festival in Eswatini, Swaziland in August. This has angered a few religious bodies in the country, so much so that they want her off the lineup!

In an article published in the Times of Swaziland newspaper this week, Bishop Samson Hlatshwayo slammed Zodwa. He is the President of the Eswatini League of African Churches and he is not happy with the organization of the Baceth Music Festival.

Bishop Hlatshwayo warned the event's organisers against involving "the gospel with worldly things". He believes that Gospel music should be segregated  from other genres. If there is gospel singers, then it should strictly be a Gospel festival. Zodwa, being most famous for being a modern women who doesn't define herself by religious modesty values, is everything but Gospel act.

Never one to shy away from controversy, Zodwa responded to Bishop Hlatswayo's commets and called him out on her personal instagram. She is still set to be performing for her fans in Swaziland

The Baceth Music Festival organisers have no plans to remove her from the line up either. The event is a mix of genres and they aren't going to budge on their lineup selections. Like Zodwa said, the people still love her!
