There is no clear reason why Sibongile Nkabinde, ex-wife of defunct Kwaito star Bonginkosi “Zola 7” Dlamini has decided to come forward after all these years but she recently spoke to Sunday Sun to share details of her marriage to Zola because she says she finally realizes that things are over between them.
“I was married to that man for 16 years and tolerated all his misdeeds” began Nkabinde, before adding “he married me and dumped me in his mother’s house in Dobsonville, Soweto. He then went to stay in Melville, Jozi, and I’d only visit him just for sex on weekends - sometimes once a month.”

Zola has publicly denied the marriage but the publication alleges that it is on possession of a lobola negotiation letter sent from his family to hers 8 years ago.
Nkabinde also said “that marriage damaged me in ways than you could ever imagine… it’s amazing how blind and tolerant love is even to the point of tragedy.”
The 34-year-old said that she is now undergoing counseling and says she regrets loving Zola even after she was warned about him multiple times.
She added that she is still subjected to abuse by 40-year-old Dlamini who sends her insulting messages, even after kicking her (and their three children, aged eight, three and 18 months) out of his mother’s house.
She has since opened a case of domestic abuse against him and has also turned to family court to increase the amount of maintenance she gets from which which currently stands at R1000 a month for all three children according to Drum.
