Bonang Matheba and her ever so fabulous “team of Glam” – Gert Johan Coetzee and Nthato Mashishi, are most certainly on point when it comes to encapsulating glamour in South Africa. And for the first time ever, the extraordinary trio has joined forces with Brutal Fruit to help find and mentor South Africa’s next Goddess of Glam in the Brutal Fruit Goddesses of Glam campaign.
“If you are unique, ooze confidence, adore fashion and have an innate sense of style, you might just be the girl we are searching for,” comments Carla Briers, Brutal Fruit’s Brand Campaign Manager. “So if you are passionate about social media, keeping up with trends and events, you will absolutely love the ultimate lifestyle you will win if you are crowned the Goddess of Glam.”
The brand has most certainly created the dream team to help them search, find and mentor the next Goddess of Glam. “We are really fortunate to have Top Billing’s Simba Mhere, South Africa’s leading “Flogger” (fashion blogger) and stylist from Afashionfriend.co.za Robynne Kahn, Star Model Management’s Lara White and the Editor-in-chief of the soon to be launched Grazia Magazine – Danielle Weakley, as the judges for the campaign,” comments Briers. “The ‘Judges of Glam’ will help us choose the top girls each week from the 14th of May to the 30th of June. Then the potential Goddesses of Glam BFF’swill have the opportunity to vote for the top 6, who will be mentored by Brutal Fruit’s original glambassador, ‘B*’ and the Glam Team.”
“B*” and the Glam Team are itching to get started with the girls, “All three of us live and breathe fashion. Glamour, trends and threads are something we are extremely passionate about. We cannot wait to mentor and share some of our favourite tips, tricks and forecasted trends with the top 6 Goddesses of Glam,” comments Bonang. “We are really going to have a lot of fun, especially when we take them on an once-in-a-lifetime shopping spree in search for the ultimate glam looks.”
The search for the #BFGoddesses will culminate in an über-trendy event in July, where the finalists will showcase all they have learnt from their mentors, making decisions on how their make-up should be done by Nthato’s expert team and how they will be styled in one of Gert’s customised dresses. “I have no doubt that the judges will have a very hard time deciding on the winner of the Goddesses of Glam once we are done with their ‘glam-overs’,” smiles Bonang.
In order to be one of the #BFGoddesses, potential Goddesses of Glam simply need to purchase a Brutal Fruit at participating outlets and receive a complimentary Brutal Fruit lip gloss to enter the Goddesses of Glam competition. Post a glam pic on m.brutalfruit.co.za or http://on.fb.me/BFGoddesses, enter the unique code from the lip gloss box.
