A few months ago, Black Coffee had the Social Media streets in a frenzy with his post in Munich, Germany when he showed off his limited-edition Air Jordan 1 High OG Dior sneaker. The expensive sneaker, which reportedly costs around R460 thousand is just one of the few fashion items that the DJ has posted online.

Yesterday, Black Coffee Tweeted a picture of himself with the caption "Jozi" wearing the above unisex Thebe Magugu poncho.

Thebe Magugu is a fashion brand, based in Johannesburg, that celebrates African cultural roots with a modern approach. The brand is concerned with elevating and changing the perspective of African fashion, from the stale view to one of being culturally rich, luxury ready-to-wear, novel fashion with smart motifs and references from its storied African roots, throughout the whole supply chain – from fabrication to production – being done within the continent. Thebe Magugu has won numerous awards, including the LVMH Prize 2019 with LVMH, and International Fashion Showcase 2019 with the British Fashion Council.

Black Coffee is a huge supporter of local designers and is occasionally seen rocking Maxhosa Africa socks or cardigans, which range from R200 to R 4400. The DJ also affords the luxury to wear expensive international brands like Louis Vuitton and has been spotted in a Full monogram Jacquard crew neck, which retails for R18 K ($1050).

The DJ is the second richest artist on the African continent and he has enough money to spoil himself with expensive fabric when he chooses. No wonder his ex-wife allegedly wants Black Coffee to settle her legal fees of about R4-million, R131 K of monthly maintenance, R17 K for her beauty and medical expenses and R30 K for a monthly stipend. Enhle Mbali and Black Coffee are currently entangled in a messy divorce and she allegedly, demands R500 K yearly for her holidays and leisure.

Tweeps went crazy in his mentions and wanted to know where he got his poncho, how much it was and some even went as far as asking him for his old clothes. It's no secret that the DJ is highly fashionable and has a lot of clothes to choose from, he is way above other artists in the country when it comes to expensive taste.
