

On Friday afternoon last week, designer Gert-Johan Coetzee presented his latest range to a small audience of forty members of the media and clients at the Saxon Hotel in Johannesburg. Bonang’s favourite designer also launched a line of bags, which we are hoping to update you on as soon as possible.

Model Thando Hopa opened the show in an elaborate blush pink gown with flower appliquè detail, setting the tone for the luxurious, oriental inspired collection.

What followed was a slew of dresses that incorporated a lot of detail, from sheer panels, to feather tassles, pleats, bows, frills and all kinds of drappery. While, of course, we believe most of the Gert-Johan looks the Queen B* wears are custom, we couldn’t help at least wondering how she would look in some of the looks.
