Besides her DJing skills, one thing we’ve come to appreciate about DJ DooWap is her sense of style.
In many interviews, DJ DooWap, real name, Khetsiwe Morgan has credited her fashion influences to Lebo Mathosa.
In a Sunday World interview a few years ago, DJ DooWap mentioned how Boom Shaka used to sleep over at her parent’s house after gigs as her parents were owners of night clubs back in the day. Lebo Mathosa used to advise her to do braids, she eventually did but put her own twist to the hairstyle by adding color and a lot of beads.
DooWap who’s father is British and mother Swati, embraces her mother’s culture a lot through her style as she tends to wear Swati attire every so often in her photo shoots and even when she’s out working.
What we’ve also come to appreciate is her collection of sneakers. Just like Lootlove’s sneakers, DooWap has an impressive collection as well.
And it’s clear that she’s a Nike type of girl.
Shout out to DJDoowap for the style inspiration, not many people can pull off this look as consistantly as she has.
