Glamour's Most Glamourous was a messy affair

It seems the only thing glamourous about the event was its name and venue

Glamours Most Glamourous was a messy affair

You would think that one of South Africa's most well known publications could pull off an event without any hiccups, but that was unfortunately not that case at last night's Glamour Magazine Most Glamorous Women event.

The event took place at the very stylish and prestigious Summer Place in Hyde Park, North of Johannesburg but the prestige ended as soon as the guests were dropped off and the ladies had to trek a few meters in heels to get to the front door because parking was a bit far from the entrance of the venue.

Even HABS (husbands and boyfriends) like ProVerb and Black Coffee could not drop off their ladies at the front door because security was very tight and kinda aggressive. Calm down guys!

We only recognised three of the award recipients on the list; Boity Thulo, Dineo Moeketsi and Enhle Mbali Maphumulo - meaning the rest of the ladies need stronger publicity teams.

Taryn Louche is a familiar face on the social scene but her career has failed to make a difference in the entertainment industry. Oh well... Congrats ladies.

Boity Thulo's dress was a bit strange and reminded us of a showgirl, the crowd even expected her to perform. But in true Boity fashion, she owned the look!

Dineo Moeketsi (dressed by Quteria and George) just looked confused. Her dress was a combination that just didn't go together - wool and chiffon? Issa no. Plus it did not fit her and looked terrible. Eish

Mbali slayed in a Ryan Keys gown that showed off her cleavage and legs. She paired the formal cocktail gown with a pair of camo boots - have you ever?! The look looked cute though, but we were not too excited by the hair.

Her husband, Black Coffee, caused chaos among the guests as everyone wanted to take a picture with the international DJ. He looked great in black, supporting his wife on the big night without out-shining her!

The event MC, ProVerb, did a stellar job even though his girl, Liesl Laurie was sitting front and centre next to stylist Francois Louw and Miss South Africa 2017, Demi -Leigh Peters.

Liesl looked stunning in a powder blue pant suit, but Demi-Leigh failed to "blow everyone" as promised with that red velvet dress. This trend needs to die!

Guest had no where to sit and we spotted a few people getting very annoyed with the lack of seating. We did not see food, once! But Vodka was on tap... What a dangerous scenario

And worst part of the event - no goodie bags?!

Sigh - we got all dressed up for nothing!

Glamour, we get that you had to honor SA's most glamourous women, but please don't forget to honor guests as well.

Take a look at some of the other outfits from the night:
