You Deserve Support
Just like building a house, no look can get off the ground without a strong foundation. Women with fuller figures absolutely need to invest in bras, underwear and shapewear that offers you the support you need. Plus, with the right hidden support you will only feel more confident in any outfit you choose!
Synch That Waist
This is an age old trick to create an hourglass figure. No matter what your side, biologically speaking, our waist is usually the smallest part of our bodies. Being able to synch your waist creates a flattering curve line for any figure. Stock up on as many belts as possible, or as we call them in SA, figure belts. Not too thing, and not too thick, though. Look for something that hits your waist in just the right place.
Crops Are Your Friend
Contrary to popular belief, cop tops don’t have a size limit! Infact, they are another way to create a flattering curvy shape for Plus Sized women. They actually help highlight your waist as well. Which crop top really depends on you, though. Whichever best works for your outfit, buy it!
All The Way Up
In case you missed the High-Waist train when it first came by, you need to hop on. Normal low-rise jeans do nothing for your figure (and that whole crack situations is something we’ve all been avoiding). Instead, look for High-Waisted jeans that come up to about 5cm below your waistline. These have the double benefit of complimenting every figure and being super comfortable. You may need to find yourself a good tailor to make sure they fit your body just right.

They key tip to becoming a Plus Sized Fashionista is: Confidence! We know that society can be cruel to women of larger sizes but in this day and age, who cares? Wear what you want, where you want and ignore the body shaming whispers as the ignorant nonsense that it is. Get out there and werk it!
