Mtvmamams who wore it better

The red carpet chronicles of any award show is usually the highlight of the entire ceremony on Saturday night we watched our African celebrities step out in their best and not so best garments at the award show. In case you missed it here's how it all went down.

After the MAMAs rather dramatic hosting saga, the award show on Saturday night, 22 October started off on a reasonably good note as musician, celebrities, social media "influencer"s and wanna be's made their way to the TicketPro Dome to experience the MAMAs first time in Johannesburg.

But before we get onto the red carpet chronicles can we briefly discuss how this young man got so violently tackled whilst trying to make his debut on stage with Future?

Poor guy, but he had it coming. Anyway back to the outfits, the hits, the misses and everything else in the middle.

We got nothing but love for Caster and Violet but their red carpet look was a miss for us. Your thoughts?

The host with the most kept it clean, elegant and simple with this black number. We loved how she trimmed her hair a bit too, we guess Bonang really wanted to keep it simple as she didn't accessorize her look either. Nice one.

This was our first time seeing Babes in a gown and honestly, her red carpet look wasn't half bad.

Minnie Dlamini and her award winning legs

Although she kept pulling down her dress when she walked on stage to present an award, Minnie's outfit did her justice by showing those gorgeous legs of hers. The outfit truly amplified her beauty and sexiness.

Nomzamo Mbatha

Her past red carpet appearances have been quite impressive but unfortunately, this one didn't quite make the cut. And it's ok, Nomzamo has given us a number of red carpet moments to be proud of.

Riky Rick's Gucci Apparel

Sigh...... Kulungile Baba.

Terry Pheto

Just like Nomzamo, we've seen Terry Pheto do better on the red carpet, especially when she attended the premiere of A United Kingdom. For Terry this outfit was average, we get the sense that even she wasn't looking at blowing us away with her red carpet look.

Nandi Madida and Ayanda Thabethe

Yes ladies!

We love how Nandi has since been able to dress for her pregnant bump, she's been getting it right since her baby bump debut.

Ayanda Thabethe's beauty is just unmatched and her dress just made her even more beautiful, can't fault these two ladies they owned their look on the red carpet.

Future to perform at the 2016 MAMAs

Yeah right, Future clearly just came to get his bag of money and leave. No effort whatsoever, these international "stars" never respected us.
