Calling all cotton eaters, we are just weeks away from joining Riky Rick and his friends for one exciting music festival that is surely going to make this year quite memorable.

Riky and his team of creatives have been hard at work in ensuring that the festival is enjoyed by all of his loyal followers.

The day will not only be a celebration of the rapper and his craft, but also a celebration of anything that represents creativity - whether it be music, fashion or art.

So, we're all aware of the many risks Riky takes, especially when it comes to the clothes he wears. Some might not get his style, but one thing we can't deny is that in terms of local fashion, the "cotton eater" is one of our head honchos.

Now, you're probably heading to the Cotton Fest next month, right? If you're unsure about what to wear, let's give you a brief and basic step by step guide on what you should at least have as an outfit.

Dope Sneakers

Okay, yes, sneakers are expensive and you don't want to break the bank just because of a King Kotini concert. But you do want to look as cool as the man, right?

An old pair of All-Stars should suffice, and if you want to really stand out from the crowd, you can even paint your sneakers for that avant-garde effect.

Cotton Club or Cotton Fest Merchandise

Wait, so were you honestly considering going to the Cotton Fest without rocking any of Riky merchandise? What type of rookie move is that?

If you're really in support of the movement, don't just say it, wear it!

Jeans are cool but what about these straight cut long pants?

A few years ago, and especially during the dreaded era of the skinny jeans, you would not be caught dead in these long straight cut pants. But look how cool Rikhado has made them look in this era of the cotton eater swag.

The pants are such a perfect fit, they look super comfortable too.

If your chest is tatted up show it!

Gents, it's Summer and what better way to show how cool you are at the Cotton Fest then by unbuttoning your shirt and showing off that chest full of tattoos. Oh, and don't forget the shades.

One more thing, notice how we didn't mention any clothing brands, except for Riky merchandise in this article. So again, kids, please don't break the bank when it comes to your Cotton Fest outfit. Real fashion lovers know how to make a no-name clothing brand look super cool. So, dig deep into your creativity and impress us with your style at the first Cotton On Fest.

The festival takes place on 2 February. See you there!
