With so much pressure to look perfect, celebrities need more help than the rest of us when they get get dressed. The best dressed celebrities have a stylist, makeup artist, publicist and seamstress (for those wardrobe emergencies) at the ready at all times.

The first thing our faves need to secure, though, is the actual clothes. Contrary to popular belief, they can't just walk in and demand couture gowns. Instead, each celebrity works at developing a mutually beneficial relationship with a designer they can trust to have them slaying the red carpet every time.

Gert Johan-Coetzee

Probably the most infamous designer-celebrity friendship in modern local pop culture. Gert and Bonang were practically inseparable for years! He helped her become the Queen B* we know today and she made him one of the most recognized designer names in the country. Everybody wins!

Sello Medupe's brand, SCALO, is a favourite amongst some of our most stylish celebs. He is known for his sophisticated and futuristic take on classic looks. He seems to have struck gold with Blue Mbombo, she wears his stuff almost everywhere she goes and even as a Halloween Costume. But who could blame her? They just make sense together.

Ryan Keyes

This designer is definitely on everyone's must have list lately. There hasn't been a major red carpet recently where a Keyes Fashion design hasn't landed on the best dressed lists. With so many celebrities fighting to get on his client list, it's hard to pin point who he is closest too. But it was when Khanyi Mbau stepped out in his work that people became familiar with his name - she even walked for him during his show at fashion week.

Khosi Nkosi

The women driven brand loves to support powerful, beautiful and successful women. Khosi is known for her ability to celebrate the African woman in modern settings. Her designs feature a lot of Seshweshwe and comfortable stretch fabrics to best cater to women of all shapes and sizes. If her name looks familiar then you must shop at YDE, this brand is stocked in their stores nationwide. Celebrities love her so much that they actually go buy her collections from the store for everyday life, like this simple little dress on Zizo.

Biji la Maison

This couture brand is relatively new on the mainstream scene with them recently starting to rack up even more celebrity clientele. They give our celebs the over top bedazzled fashion moments they beg for. They manage to remain a couture dress brand that is known for incorporating global and local trends into their collections. They've already dressed practically everyone and made them feel like a queen - including dressing an actual pageant queen, Thulisa Keyi, for Miss World.
