ZAlebs caught up with Image Consultant - Aseema Kazi, to answer a few of our burning fashion questions about Autumn and Winter trends for this year.

1. What can we keep in our wardrobes from last year?

Definitely, a keeper from last year's wardrobe is the flat soled knee-high boots (tan & black) were a big hit as well as the full-length poncho soft coat.

2. SA weather is very unpredictable, one minute it's freezing and the next it's warm or raining. What is the best look to go for in our climate?

Because of the unpredictable weather, layering is your friend. Always start with a simple cotton t-shirt and trendy jeans, then later with a long sleeved cropped cardigan & armless jacket both of which can be removed.

3. Which celebrity do you think gets the whole Winter fashion trend right?

Minnie Dlamini's style sense has always given one to be envious about. She understands her body and knows what looks good on her. She has definitely put her mark onto the style platform and continues to show us how to style African curves. Minnie's impressive wardrobe would definitely make her the ultimate in Winter slaying.

4. What would the best look be for Winter 2017?

The camel coat is a wardrobe staple that works for just about any occasion. Leggings always add to the cosy look. A turtleneck tunic, a long trench or puffer jacket, thigh high boots and a brightly colored scarf to add that pop off color are one of the most versatile Winter looks.

5. Should we upgrade white in Winter?

I think white is now definitely dated for Winter. Greens & plum has become quite trendy as well as tans.

6. Who is your local style icon?

When it comes to rocking styles and the latest trends, Pearl Thusi most definitely slays. Whether she's hitting the beach or walking the streets of New York, her fashion sense is always on point. Pearl Thusi's effortless fashion sense and confident poise most certainly makes her a style icon for the 21st century.
