In the lead up to the release of Marvel's latest highly anticipated film, Avengers: Infinity War (Part I), South African celebs are going all out to encourage fans to do it big when the film gets released to the public this Friday.
The likes of Moshe Ndiki, DJ Zinhle, Takkies, Thick Leeyonce and more got decked out in their best Avengers-inspired outfits to give fans a little inspiration.
Described as "an unprecedented cinematic journey ten years in the making and spanning the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe", Marvel Studios’ “Avengers: Infinity War” brings to the screen the ultimate, deadliest showdown of all time.
And boy-oh-boy was it thee ultimate showdown. I got the chance to watch it yesterday-evening and I am still at a loss for words.
Spoilers released over the last few months have been hinting at the fact that one (or more) of the Avengers' lives may come to an end in this film so you spend the entire film worrying about everyone as each of their lives teeter on the brink throughout the film. And just as your anxiety is quelled by your favourite heroes getting their lives saved, another one finds in danger.
Quick catch up for those of you who may have only come on board after the Black Panther hype:
Over the last few years, each film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (including the Thor films, Guardians of the Galaxy, Dr. Strange and more) have all been slowly introducing us to the concept of the infinity stones and the biggest, baddest, bad guy of them all, Thanos.
Thanos is obsessed with saving the universe at all costs and needs the infinity stones to achieve his greatest goal. However, part of achieving his goal involves destroying a large part of the Universe - and therein lies the Avengers' biggest problem.
The great thing about this latest installment, however, is that you do not need to watch all the other films that were released over the past 10 years in order to understand the film (although I'd advise that you do so - because it's Marvel!)
Another reason to watch the film is that it is - in part - a return for the beloved people of Wakanda who feature heavily in the film.
But back to the topic at hand, check out what your faves will be wearing when they go see the film:
