Daniel Craig is to host ‘Saturday Night Live’.
The ‘James Bond’ actor has been announced as one of the guest presenters for the forthcoming 38th season of the hit show, fronting the comedy programme on October 6, with rockers Muse joining him as musical guest.
Other guest presenters to be announced for the upcoming season include Seth MacFarlane and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
Seth will host the premiere of the sketch show on September 15 with musical guest Frank Ocean, while ‘(500) Days of Summer’ actor Joseph will take on presenting duties for the second time the following week.
The September 22 show will see Mumford & Sons make their debut on the comedy programme.
The popular show will be in for some changes when the new series starts as it is expected a number of regular cast members, including Kristen Wiig, Jason Sudeikis and Andy Samberg, will not be returning.
Although nothing has been confirmed, a number of apparent references to the ‘Bridesmaids’ star’s departure were made during the series 37 finale.
The final sketch during the season end saw the actress – who has been a cast member on the show for seven years – don a cap and gown with guest host Sir Mick Jagger acting as high school principal during a graduation scene.
Kristen’s character was singled out as ”one particular student who is leaving this summer”, and she then danced with the Rolling Stones rocker, executive producer Lorne Michaels and other cast members to the group’s hit ‘She’s a Rainbow.’
