Kate Moss has been treated to a week-long wine tasting trip for her birthday.

The supermodel opted for a low-key celebration with her husband, The Kills musician Jamie Hince, for her 39th birthday in the Red Lion & Sun pub in Highgate, north London and kept things casual.

Although the celebration may have been low-key, Jamie, 44, has treated Kate to the seven-day tasting trip to California’s Napa Valley where they will sample the region’s finest tipples.

A source told The Sun newspaper: ”Jamie has been busy sorting out lots of special treats for Kate’s birthday, including a trip for them to visit several wine-tasting lodges in the Napa Valley.

”He’s a huge fan of California and loves the rolling countryside in the region when the sun shines.

”It’ll not be just drinking, though. Jamie also wants them to make use of the local spas and to do some painting with local artists.”

Kate has enjoyed a quiet 2013 so far, but she has been offered an exciting opportunity to join ‘The X Factor’.

Simon Cowell, 53, is reportedly interested in hiring Kate to style the contestants and keep them looking fashionable throughout the show.

A source said: ”Simon is looking at ways of refreshing the show and one idea he will bring to the table is getting Kate Moss on board.

”He knows how important the styling of the contestants is and having a supermodel and a world-famous name on board would certainly raise the bar.

”Kate could give the contestants advice and ideas on how they want to look and also how to look after themselves and still look great in the years ahead.”
