A Visit To The Goodman Gallery

Brett Murray’s controversial exhibition entitled “Hail to the Thief” on display at the Goodman Gallery in Johannesburg has created such uproar, particularly due to its depiction of President Jacob Zuma with his genitals on display.

In a bid to have the painting removed from the gallery, the ANC will launch a High Court application in Johannesburg on 22 May 2012.

According to Timeslive, Brett Murray has released a responding affidavit to Zuma’s court application. In it he says, “I never intended the artwork to cause any hurt or to harm the dignity of any person.”
