Nigerian media personality, Toke Makinwa’s latest Tik Tok video has South African star, Khanyi Mabu beaming with pride. The video showcased Toke dressed as bougie as can be, sporting a matching scarf and bag, levelled up with a fur coat. Her inspiration? Miss Khanyi Mbau of course.
The video saw Toke impersonating Khanyi’s 2017 interview with Anele Mdoda, where she spoke about what money means to her and how comfortable it is around her. The original clip has been a viral sensation since it was first aired, with many claiming that it emulated Khanyi’s personality perfectly.
Toke’s Tik Tok video which was originally shared on the platform on Saturday, 9 May 2020 has received over 20 000 views, and has been garnering a significant amount more since Khanyi reposted it. The South African star captioned it with, “Toke Makinwa killed it!!! #WHENMONEYLOVESYOU Beam baby girl.” Toke responded to the post with, “Hey gorgeous! You are my spirit animal!”. This was definitely a collaboration we didn’t know we needed!
