Former convict and ZAR owner Kenny Kunene believes that Oscar Pistorius is innocent. 

According to the Sowetan, Kenny has also expressed that he’d be pleased if the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court granted Pistorius bail.

“I spent six years in prison myself and I have seen guys who had been on trial for years.  This is not a trial that is going to end in three months.  So I think it would be best for him to get bail and finalise this trial from the outside.”

The self-proclaimed Sushi King also acknowledged that he will be exposed to criticism for his public support towards Pistorius but strongly insists that the public should remain unbiased and place their trust in the judicial system.

“He gave his side of the story yesterday and all those prophets of doom, who had reduced him to being guilty without even knowing his version, will now have to wait and see how the case ends up.”

Kunene even left Pistorius a message of encouragement to help him through this trying time.

“Keep praying. I will go on loving him and I will remain a friend and if he wants me to help him I will do so.”
