The organisers of the 2026 Ajide/APC Unity Cup have granted a further one-week extension to the registration deadline for the competition.
Chairman of the organising committee, Tajudeen Disu, made the announcement after a meeting held on Friday at the tournament secretariat in Surulere. He said the additional time was required after requests and appeals from clubs and other stakeholders across Lagos State, who asked for more days to finalise their entries.
Disu noted that the tournament has already drawn roughly 125 clubs from all five divisions within Lagos State football, underlining the rising demand for the event.
He urged any clubs still considering participation to use the extended window and complete their registration no later than Friday, June 12, 2026.
While expressing appreciation to clubs that have already registered, Disu reiterated that signing up for the championship carries no fee. He explained that prospective teams simply need to download the registration form from the tournament platform and submit the required documentation.
The former Nigeria international also confirmed the prize structure, stating that the champions will receive N1 million, with the runners-up awarded N500,000.
