Fenerbahçe presidential candidate Aziz Yıldırım is set to travel to England with the aim of starting official talks over a potential transfer for Fulham defender Calvin Bassey.

Turkish reports say Yıldırım intends to meet Fulham decision-makers in London.
He is also expected to hold discussions with Bassey’s representatives, with the goal of agreeing a deal for the versatile 26-year-old.

Bassey, who is capable of playing both as a centre-back and at left-back, is still tied to Fulham under contract until June 2027. He joined the Premier League club in 2023 from Ajax for a fee reported at €22.5 million.

Player profile and deal conditions

The Nigeria international has made 43 appearances for the Super Eagles and is currently estimated at around €28 million by the Transfermarkt database. Any potential transfer is also understood to depend largely on how the upcoming Istanbul club elections unfold.
