The management of digital technology marketing platform Blockchain Sports Arena has sent congratulations to Rangers International, Rivers United and Shooting Stars (3SC) following their showings in the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League season.
Tributes to the top finishers
In a formal statement, the platform highlighted Rangers’ resolve and commitment as key factors behind the club’s league success, while also urging the players and staff to bring that same intensity to the CAF Champions League.
“As you prepare to represent Nigeria in the CAF Champions League, we wish you the best and urge you to approach the continental level with zeal, passion and renewed vigour,” the statement said.
Rivers United and 3SC, who ended the campaign in second and third place respectively, were also praised. The platform expressed confidence that both teams will carry Nigeria’s flag with pride in CAF competitions next season.
Rangers’ title run and league standings
- Rangers claimed their ninth league championship and their second title in three years.
- The club finished with 68 points, edging Rivers United by one point after the latter ended on 67.
- The tight finish was described as a dramatic title race, with Rangers’ final margin enough to secure the crown.
- The achievement was framed as further proof of Rangers’ position as the most decorated club in Nigerian football.
Relegation blow for the champions
Elsewhere in the league, defending champions Remo Stars were relegated, a setback that extended a worrying pattern for former NPFL winners.
The statement noted that this was the third straight season in which a reigning league champion suffered immediate relegation, following Shooting Stars and Bayelsa United.
