A new partnership aimed at making smartphone protection faster and more accessible has been unveiled across Nigeria’s retail network. Cube Cover, a device insurance brokerage operating under Tasala Insurance Broker Company, has announced the rollout of a digital-first device protection offering developed with SLOT Systems Limited, described as the country’s largest mobile device retail and distribution business.
The collaboration introduces “SUPER FIX,” a device protection product designed to simplify how Nigerians buy coverage, get devices repaired, and keep smart devices in working condition. Instead of relying on slow, paperwork-heavy claim processes, the service combines online onboarding with immediate repair authorisations and access to repairs through SLOT’s nationwide chain of retail locations and authorised repair centres.
Customers can purchase the SUPER FIX plan starting from as little as ₦5,000 per year at any SLOT Systems Limited store nationwide. Once coverage is in place, eligible repair claims can be approved instantly using Cube Cover’s automated technology, cutting down waiting periods and reducing the friction typically associated with conventional insurance claiming.
The programme is also supported through the Cube Cover mobile app, which is positioned as the central channel for a fully digital customer journey. The app includes features such as digital onboarding, policy management tools, a locator for repair shops, and a smart pre-approval section that allows users to initiate and monitor repair authorisations before they visit a repair centre.
“This alliance represents the future of valuable protection in Africa. We are removing the complexity and delays traditionally associated with device protection by using automation and intelligent digital systems. Customers can now protect their devices, walk into a slot repair center when damage occurs, and receive instant approval for repairs through our auto-claims platform.” — Deji Macaulay, Co-founder of Cube Cover.
SUPER FIX is targeted at providing affordable and convenient protection for smart device users, particularly against accidental screen damage and other device-related incidents. The service is built to reduce administrative burden, offering enrollment through claims processing with no lengthy paperwork and no manual approvals, while still enabling quick access to authorised repair support.
Engr. Nnamdi Ezeigbo, CEO of SLOT Systems Limited Nigeria, said the partnership reflects a shared focus on customer experience. He noted that SLOT’s business has long been grounded in delivering trusted technology solutions and delivering peace of mind, and that the collaboration extends that commitment beyond device sales into device protection and care.
He added: “SLOT has always been focused on delivering trusted technology solutions and superior customer experience. Partnering with Cube Cover allows us to extend that commitment beyond device sales into device protection and care, giving our customers greater peace of mind.”
The launch arrives as smartphone use continues to expand in Nigeria alongside rising repair costs, increasing demand for protection products that are both reliable and easy to access. Alfred Egbai, Cube Cover’s co-founder and chief operating officer, said the partnership is expected to use SLOT’s nationwide presence together with Cube Cover’s device protection platform to accelerate adoption of digital services.
He said the goal is to improve customer convenience, shorten repair turnaround times, and strengthen trust by combining automation with wider accessibility. The SUPER FIX service is now available across participating SLOT Systems Limited outlets nationwide.
