Edo Queens have sealed their spot in the Round of 16 of the 2026 President Federation Cup after beating Ghetto Tigers Queens 3-1 in Akure on Tuesday.

Edo Queens kept their momentum going with a composed performance at the Ondo Sports Complex. Chioma Moses opened the scoring early, finding the net in the ninth minute, before Esther Inyang doubled the lead in the 27th minute.

Atume Doosuur, the current NWFL Premiership leading scorer, added a third goal in the 58th minute to put the contest beyond reach. Ghetto Tigers Queens did get one back late on, converting from the penalty spot to make the final score 3-1.

The win keeps Edo Queens’ hopes alive of lifting the President Federation Cup for the first time. It also provides a strong competitive boost ahead of the upcoming NWFL Super Six playoffs.

Elsewhere, FC Robo Queens edged Rangers Women 3-2 in a lively match. Mariam Yahaya scored twice, while Tayo Ajakaye added another goal to help secure the narrow victory.

Heartland Queens delivered one of the standout results of the day, thrashing Dragon Fury 6-0. Rivers Angels were even more ruthless, overpowering NAF Women 12-0 in a dominant attacking display.

Bayelsa Queens also came through narrowly, beating Pacesetters Queens 1-0 thanks to Kesiena Ojiyovwi’s strike in the 47th minute. Delta Queens then cruised to a 5-0 win over Royal Queens.

Naija Ratels enjoyed a high-scoring success, defeating Mighty Jets Mata 5-2. Ibom Angels completed their progression with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Fortress Ladies, scoring through Kelechi Chukwunlem and Happiness Agboye in the first half.
