Mustapha Lawal Signs One-Year Extension With Shooting Stars

Sports

Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) have agreed to keep Super Eagles goalkeeper Mustapha Lawal at the club for another season, extending his contract by one year.

The updated arrangement ensures the Ibadan side holds on to one of its most reliable figures, even as Lawal remains a target for multiple clubs within Nigeria and overseas.

Lawal turned in a standout 2025/26 outing, featuring in 16 Nigeria Premier Football League matches and producing 12 clean sheets. His presence between the posts, along with his decisive shot-stopping when it mattered, played a key role in 3SC’s solid campaign.

The renewal is a significant boost for the Oluyole Warriors as they prepare for the next term with one of the league’s dependable goalkeepers firmly in their plans.
