Sports

Wrexham goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo says he is aiming to establish himself as a dependable presence for Nigeria’s Super Eagles after completing his change of international allegiance from England.

Speaking with intent about his next steps, Okonkwo said he wants to deliver steady performances and be a goalkeeper supporters and team-mates can rely on in every match. He added that the switch is a process, and that he is prepared to put in the work, build chemistry with the squad and continue improving as he settles into the setup.

The former Arsenal academy goalkeeper is now expected to get his first opportunity to represent Nigeria at the upcoming Unity Cup in London.
