Rangers Chairman Assures Fidelis Ilechukwu Stays On as Technical Adviser

Sports

Rangers Chairman Amobi Ezeaku has confirmed that Fidelis Ilechukwu will continue as technical adviser for the 2026–27 season of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

Ezeaku delivered the assurance during a media interaction in Enugu, addressing questions about whether the club planned to make a change in the coaching setup ahead of next season.

In his response, the Rangers chief underlined that the team intends to provide full backing to the tactician as it looks to build on its recent achievements.

Ilechukwu guided Rangers to lift the NPFL title for the ninth time last season.

“I’ll be straightforward: the young tactician will stay with the club next season,” Ezeaku said when the possibility of replacing Ilechukwu was raised.
