SportyTV Launches on DStv and GOtv Packages Across Nigeria, Kenya and Ghana

SportyTV has been added to selected DStv and GOtv packages in Nigeria, widening the sports options available to subscribers. The 24-hour channel brings a mix of live action and studio-style material, including sports news, analysis, and highlights. It is included for DStv Yanga and GOtv Jolli customers, and is also carried on GOtv in Kenya and Ghana.

The move builds on the existing sports selection already offered on DStv and GOtv. With SportyTV now in the lineup, viewers gain access to further programming across football, basketball, and combat sports.

David Mignot, CEO of CANAL+ Africa, said the addition strengthens the DStv Access and GOtv Value sports package across the continent. He described the channel as an expanded slate of sporting events delivered at a price point designed to remain accessible, adding that it aligns with efforts to bring high-quality sports coverage to audiences throughout Africa.

Sudeep Ramnani, Founder and CEO of Sporty Group, said the partnership is part of a wider goal to give African audiences broader access to both sports coverage and storytelling. He added that working with CANAL+ will extend the channel’s reach to more households across the region.

What SportyTV is showing

Rendani Ramovha, Director of Sport Content for English and Portuguese-speaking Africa at CANAL+, said the channel gives DStv and GOtv subscribers extra viewing choices that fit around SuperSport’s existing sports programming. He noted that SportyTV enhances the overall offering by adding more live fixtures along with supporting content.

On the football front, SportyTV’s schedule includes a broad mix of domestic and international competitions. Among the events listed are the English Premier League, Carabao Cup, EFL Championship, Women’s FA Cup, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A, and the Spanish Super Cup.

The channel also carries South American competitions, including the Copa Libertadores, the Argentina League, and Brazil Serie A. Beyond football, SportyTV lists select basketball and other international sports programming.

Elias Gallego, Vice President of Business Development, Marketing and Media at Sporty Group, said launching SportyTV on DStv and GOtv helps extend the group’s reach. He added that the move brings a wider variety of sports content to viewers across Africa.

SportyTV will additionally include dedicated club channels such as Real Madrid TV, Arsenal TV, Chelsea TV, and Manchester City TV. Coverage also features leagues from Greece and Saudi Arabia, alongside basketball programming that includes the NBA.
