Arsenal led the standings from October and wrapped up the championship with a match still to play.<\/p>\n<p>The Spaniard inherited the job in December 2019 at what was arguably the most difficult stage of Arsenal\u2019s Premier League history. Coventry finished first in the second tier Championship by an 11-point margin, securing their promotion while playing an attacking style that drew praise.<\/p>\n<p>Lampard, the former England midfielder, narrowly outlasted seven other candidates for the Sir Alex Ferguson Trophy at the League Managers Association awards on Tuesday. The group included Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta among others.<\/p>\n<p>Sir Alex Ferguson praised Lampard\u2019s work, pointing to the way his side\u2019s football reflected the manager\u2019s identity and leadership. Ferguson said he had enjoyed watching Coventry\u2019s confident performances and the self-belief shown across the season.<\/p>\n<h3>Women\u2019s game<\/h3>\n<p>Andree Jeglertz was named Women\u2019s Super League Manager of the Year after his first season in charge delivered major achievements.
