That is the team\u2019s lowest haul since the 2015-16 season, and it came 25 points adrift of champions Arsenal.<\/p>\n<p>Fenway Sports Group addressed the move in an official statement, describing the decision as hard to make. The owners stressed that Slot\u2019s contributions during his time at the club were \u201csignificant\u201d and \u201cmeaningful,\u201d adding that the work produced success that mattered most to supporters as well as the club itself.<\/p>\n<p>They also highlighted the standards Slot brought to the job, pointing to his work ethic, thorough preparation and the expertise he demonstrated in the role.
