The plan includes promoting 25% of its workforce globally, introducing cost-of-living adjustments, providing tax support for employees in Nigeria, and issuing a one-time economic relief payment to all staff worldwide. The initiative is framed as part of the company\u2019s effort to strengthen retention, accelerate career growth, and sustain its talent pipeline as economic conditions become more uncertain and everyday expenses rise across multiple markets.<\/p>\n

    In remarks published on the company\u2019s website, Flutterwave Founder and CEO Olugbenga \u201cGB\u201d Agboola said the company\u2019s momentum is tied to its people. He described employees as the \u201csecret sauce,\u201d saying they form the core engine behind the products and services the company builds\u2014work that he said enables solutions that support businesses, expand opportunities, and facilitate seamless movement of money across Africa and beyond.<\/p>\n

    Annette Akpolo, Head of People and Culture, emphasized what she called a holistic approach to talent management. She said the company\u2019s aim is to create an environment where employees can concentrate on their best work without being weighed down by economic anxiety. She added that combining individual, merit-based growth with support for the team\u2019s collective needs is central to building a culture where people want to stay and develop over the long term.<\/p>\n

    10-year milestone and growth momentum<\/h2>\n

    Flutterwave also highlighted its progress as it marks its tenth anniversary in 2026. The company said it has processed more than 1 billion transactions and has moved over $40 billion in total payment value since it began.<\/p>\n

    To underline its recent momentum, Flutterwave pointed to strong growth across key channels. It reported a 289% increase in wallet-based collections when measured by transaction count, along with a 184% rise in the value of bank transfers over the past year. The firm said this expansion has been supported by wider adoption of local payment methods across its markets.<\/p>\n

    Agboola linked the company\u2019s forward-looking priorities to employee contribution, arguing that growth is earned through meaningful work toward both business performance and the mission the company is pursuing together.
