Rosemary Ndlovu\u2014an infamous convicted serial killer and former police officer\u2014has been ruled guilty in another criminal matter, this time tied to an alleged murder-for-hire scheme that would have involved a large insurance payout.<\/p>\n
Ndlovu appeared in the Kempton Park Regional Magistrate\u2019s Court on Wednesday, 20 May 2026, when judgment was delivered following a drawn-out hearing. She attended alongside her co-accused, Nomsa Mudau.<\/p>\n
The court convicted both women of conspiracy to commit murder and incitement to commit murder. The charges relate to a plot reportedly aimed at Mudau\u2019s former husband, Justice Mudau, in 2018.<\/p>\n
During the case, prosecutors told the court that the pair allegedly intended to arrange Justice Mudau\u2019s death so they could benefit from a life insurance policy said to be worth roughly R3 million.<\/p>\n
Testimony presented at the trial further claimed that about R150,000 was allegedly offered to individuals recruited to carry out the killing.<\/p>\n
Still, the alleged plan collapsed before it could be executed. The scheme came to light when one of the people contacted to perform the murder warned the intended target instead.<\/p>\n
Throughout the proceedings, both Ndlovu and Mudau maintained not-guilty pleas. Even so, the court determined that the evidence was sufficient to convict both accused.<\/p>\n
The new guilty verdict deepens Ndlovu\u2019s already extensive criminal record.<\/p>\n
The ex-officer is currently serving multiple life sentences after earlier convictions connected to the killings of six family members and relatives, cases that were linked to insurance claims.<\/p>\n
