Amusan crossed the line in 12.72 seconds to take first place, edging out Taiwan\u2019s Bo Ya Zhang, who finished second in 13.17 seconds, while Yi Po-an secured bronze with a time of 13.37 seconds.<\/p>\n
The winning run also proved significant beyond the medals, as it earned Amusan a new meeting record. Her time of 12.72 shaved off the previous benchmark of 12.80 seconds, a mark that had been set by Nia Ali, the US Olympic silver medallist and former world champion.<\/p>\n
The 29-year-old was in control from the outset, showing her form in the qualification rounds before carrying it into the final.
