Festus Kayamo, Nigeria\u2019s Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, said the crew of a private jet that touched down on a concrete road still under construction in the Ogwashi-Uku area near Asaba have been taken into custody while authorities investigate the incident. Kayamo made the disclosure in a statement posted on X on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

He said the aircraft had been halted after aviation regulators had grounded the jet and revoked the operator\u2019s permit for non-commercial flights (PNCF). Kayamo added that the stop order followed what he described as a major violation of aviation rules, alongside concerns related to regulatory compliance and security.<\/p>\n

According to the minister, after the jet landed on \u201cAsaba Road,\u201d it proceeded to depart toward Lagos State only after receiving the required authorisations.<\/p>\n

Kayamo also stated that he had spoken with relevant security organisations and had been assured that the crew are currently in custody and cooperating with the investigation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
