The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) says 24 vessels are presently unloading petroleum products and other cargoes at key Lagos terminals, including Apapa, Lekki Deep Sea and Tin-Can Island. The authority said the ships are handling a wide mix of imports ranging from bulk wheat, bulk salt and general cargo to fresh fish, containers, bulk sugar and industrial inputs such as bulk urea, alongside energy commodities like petrol, bulk gas and diesel.<\/p>\n

In addition to the ongoing discharges, the NPA expects a further 46 ships to enter the Lagos port system in the days ahead, bringing more petroleum-related shipments, food items and other goods. The authority added that those incoming vessels are scheduled to carry categories such as general cargo, bulk urea and bulk wheat, as well as bulk millet and bulk sugar, plus condensate and aviation fuel.<\/p>\n

The NPA also noted that the additional arrivals will include containerised assortments, bulk salt and petrol. Separately, it said nine ships have already reached the ports and are currently waiting for permission to berth. Among the cargoes on board the vessels awaiting berthing approval are bulk urea, crude oil, diesel, aviation fuel, gasoline, bulk fertiliser, general cargo and petrol.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
