The mosaic was made by participants in the center\u2019s jewelry-making and crystal-mosaic course. Built from thousands of precisely placed fragments, the finished work contains 72,000 individual pieces and includes a portrait of Osimhen\u2019s mother. It also features a dedicated design that highlights the close relationship between the striker and his mother.<\/p>\n
Course instructor Sumeyye Aydin led the project, explaining that the concept took shape after she and her students were moved by Osimhen\u2019s emotional response to tributes created in his honor. Motivated by that inspiration, the group decided to craft a special present for the player, aiming to express gratitude and support\u2014particularly in the spirit of Mother\u2019s Day.<\/p>\n
Osimhen received the artwork during a Samsunspor match. After being handed the gift, he reportedly thanked the women and added his signature, with the gesture tied to plans for a future project. The moment continued to resonate beyond the stadium when Osimhen later discussed the mosaic in an interview in Nigeria, calling it among the most significant gifts he had received.<\/p>\n
Buoyed by the success of the first creation, the course participants have now started work on a new crystal mosaic devoted to Osimhen. The upcoming design will feature another portrait of the footballer, along with the celebration scene that followed his goal against Fenerbah\u00e7e.
