Carlo Ancelotti has agreed to keep his job as Brazil head coach through the 2030 World Cup, extending his contract until the tournament in six years\u2019 time.<\/p>\n
The Italian was appointed to the role in May 2025 after leaving Real Madrid and has since guided Brazil to qualification for the 2026 World Cup. That competition is scheduled to be staged in Canada, Mexico and the United States, beginning next month.<\/p>\n
Speaking after the decision, the 66-year-old said: \u201cFrom the very first minute, I understood what football means to this country. For the past year, we have been working to lead the Brazilian national team back to the very top of the world stage.\u201d<\/p>\n
He added that both he and the Brazilian federation want further progress: \u201cBut the CBF and I want more. More victories, more time, more work. We are very happy to announce that we will continue together for another four years.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI want to thank the CBF for their trust,\u201d Ancelotti concluded.<\/p>\n
Ancelotti has overseen 10 matches for Brazil so far, with five wins, two draws and three defeats.<\/p>\n
Brazil\u2019s ambition is to claim a sixth World Cup title, while also targeting their first triumph at the tournament since 2002, this summer.<\/p>\n
The coach is expected to reveal his squad for the competition on 18 May, with Brazil beginning their World Cup campaign against Morocco on 13 June.<\/p>\n
Brazil\u2019s other Group C fixtures are against Haiti and Scotland.<\/p>\n
CBF president Samir Xaud described the deal as a major milestone, calling it a \u201chistoric day for the CBF and for Brazilian football.\u201d<\/p>\n
