That reduction represents a N50 per litre fall, taking cumulative declines since May 30, 2026 to N200 per litre for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS).<\/p>\n<h3>Quick facts<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Fourth fuel price cut in one month by Dangote Refinery, tied to lower crude oil prices.<\/li>\n<li>PMS (petrol) gantry price lowered to N1,075 per litre from N1,250.<\/li>\n<li>Cumulative PMS reductions since May 30, 2026 now total above N200 per litre.<\/li>\n<li>Automotive Gas Oil (AGO) ex-depot price reduced by N300 per litre.<\/li>\n<li>Jet A1 aviation fuel reduced by N520 per litre.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Alongside petrol, Dangote also lowered the ex-depot prices of Automotive Gas Oil (AGO) by N300 per litre and Jet A1 aviation fuel by N520 per litre. The refinery framed the series of reductions as part of its effort to ensure Nigerians benefit from more favourable market conditions while keeping domestic refining operations financially sustainable.<\/p>\n<p>The refinery added that the products currently reaching the market are being produced from crude inventories purchased during periods when crude prices were substantially higher. In other words, it is drawing down earlier-cost inventory rather than reacting only to day-to-day swings in global pricing.<\/p>\n<p>In its statement, Dangote said the N50 per litre reduction is the fourth cut in a single month, lifting cumulative declines on PMS to more than N200 per litre. The company argued that its pricing decisions are meant to reflect production economics and inventory costs, rather than short-term movements in international oil markets.<\/p>\n<p>The refinery also pointed to the role of domestic production in stabilising prices.
