The National Sports Commission (NSC) has confirmed Elekwachi Chukwudi Dimkpa as President of the Nigeria Karate Federation, bringing closure to a leadership disagreement that emerged after the federation\u2019s election last year.<\/p>\n
Dimkpa, who has long been involved in karate administration, previously worked as the South-South chairman and also served on the federation\u2019s board. In those roles, he contributed to policy development, helped drive plans aimed at athlete improvement, and engaged in efforts related to sponsorship. His involvement has included financing both national and regional karate championships, along with backing Team Nigeria\u2019s participation in international events.<\/p>\n
NSC Director-General Bukola Olopade said the commission will keep monitoring the governance of sports federations to ensure they are run with fairness.<\/p>\n
