Nigerian port authorities say trade flows are picking up across key Lagos maritime gateways, with multiple ships already moored and additional arrivals expected in the coming days. The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) reported that eight vessels are currently berthed at the Lekki, Tin Can Island and Apapa ports, positioned to discharge different categories of cargo, including petroleum products and industrial inputs.<\/p>\n

NPA shipping update for Lagos ports<\/h2>\n

The figures were laid out in the NPA\u2019s latest \u201cShipping Position\u201d report, released on Thursday in Lagos. The document tracks vessel movements and cargo progress across Nigeria\u2019s seaports, offering a snapshot of where ships are docked and what kinds of freight are in the queue.<\/p>\n

    At present, eight vessels are berthed across Lekki, Tin Can Island and Apapa, awaiting unloading of consignments that include petrol, bulk fertiliser, gasoline and urea.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  2. \n

    The report expects 46 additional ships carrying a mix of goods to reach Apapa, Lekki and Tin Can Island between April 30 and May 10.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  3. \n

    Among the incoming shipments highlighted by the NPA are buckwheat, containers, fresh fish, crude oil, bulk wheat, petrol, base oil, aviation fuel, and other general cargo.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  4. \n

    Port activity is described as ongoing, with 21 vessels already alongside and unloading cargoes such as containers, petrol, bulk gas, aviation fuel, crude oil, bulk gypsum, truck freight, wheat, fresh fish and urea.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
