On a quota basis, the result indicates Nigeria met 104% of the 1.5 million bpd crude oil target set for the country by OPEC.<\/p>\n<p>Looking at crude only\u2014excluding condensates\u2014the June average of 1.56 million barrels per day is the strongest level recorded by Africa\u2019s largest oil producer since April 2020, marking a 74-month high. Combined crude and condensate output peaked at 1.89 million bpd during June, underscoring the country\u2019s capacity to push toward the 2 million bpd threshold in the near term.<\/p>\n<p>The production record for the period was not uniform: the lowest level in the review month was 1.57 million bpd. Even with that dip, the overall direction remained upward, with June higher than February\u2019s 1.483 million bpd, March\u2019s 1.546 million bpd, April\u2019s 1.663 million bpd, and May\u2019s 1.700 million bpd.<\/p>\n<p>From month to month, the latest result represented 2.2% growth. The regulator said the improvement was mainly supported by steady operations across most producing assets and the absence of major pipeline outages during the period under review.<\/p>\n<p>That operating stability helped raise production uptime and improved crude lifting and evacuation efficiency. While a limited set of assets saw short-duration operational shutdowns, the statement said the overall effect on national output was minimal.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, scheduled turnaround maintenance was managed and concluded without causing major disruption to production activities. The regulator linked June\u2019s sustained gains to ongoing efforts by operators and other industry participants to raise operational efficiency, protect asset integrity, and improve production dependability across Nigeria\u2019s upstream sector.<\/p>\n<h3>Terminal-level performance in June<\/h3>\n<p>Terminal-by-terminal averages show how output changed across Nigeria\u2019s export and production streams. Bonny Terminal produced an average of 318.28 thousand barrels per day in June, rising from 293.88 thousand bpd in May 2026. Forcados Terminal followed with 306.36 thousand bpd, up from 289.90 thousand bpd a month earlier.<\/p>\n<p>Qua Iboe Terminal recorded 164.73 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensates, down from 173.36 thousand bpd in May.
