The ruling party\u2019s endorsement, held in Abeokuta on Wednesday at a crowded gathering of party stakeholders, brought together senior figures, ward-level executives, council representatives and other key actors, projecting a renewed mood of unity and reconciliation within the party ahead of the next round of elections.<\/p>\n

Among the leaders present were Engineer Adekunle Adeshina, Hon. Lanre Oyegbola Sodipo, Alhaja Faidat Sarumi, Hon. Habeeb Ajayi, Engr. Seeni Ayorinde, Hon. Wale Bello, Hon. Ifekayode Akinbode, and Hon. Olayiwola Ojodu, alongside members of the Local Executive Committee, ward chairmen and serving council officials.<\/p>\n

The meeting also featured a clear show of solidarity, as other aspirants publicly stepped aside and backed Tella. Hon. Olamilekan Tajudeen Ishola, Hon. Tunde Bayewunmi, and Hon. Yisa \u201cOmo Ade\u201d reaffirmed their commitment to the party and pledged full support for his bid for a second term.<\/p>\n

Party officials described the decision as a sign of political discipline and a commitment to keeping the party united as it heads into the electoral cycle.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe strongly value continuity, experience, and stability. Hon. Tella has demonstrated dedication to strengthening the party and advancing the development of Abeokuta North. He should be given the chance to continue the good work,\u201d party leaders said.<\/p>\n

Tella\u2019s response and legislative record<\/h2>\n

Speaking after receiving the endorsement, Hon. Tella thanked party leadership and supporters for the confidence placed in him. He said the day marked a moment of gratitude to the people of Abeokuta North and to party stakeholders.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday is a day of joy for me to appreciate the leaders and the people of Abeokuta North. As legislators, our duty is to make laws, and I\u2019m proud that we have contributed to 41 bills and motions\u2014either as sponsor or co-sponsor,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

Tella also disclosed that seven additional bills are currently on the list, including one aimed at agriculture.<\/p>\n

He further said he appreciated the decision to select him as the consensus candidate to represent the party at the Ogun State House of Assembly for a second time.<\/p>\n

Appeal for forgiveness and call for unity<\/h2>\n

During an emotional segment of his address, Tella asked for forgiveness from anyone he may have offended during his first period in office.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a human being and leader, I may have offended some people. I humbly ask for forgiveness from anyone who may have felt hurt in any way,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The gathering concluded with a renewed pledge by party stakeholders to work toward the APC\u2019s success in Abeokuta North. Supporters expressed optimism that the endorsement would both reinforce party cohesion and help sustain development in the local government area.<\/p>\n
