Odukoya said the primary election involved only a single aspirant: President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He explained that the local government is classified as metropolitan and is divided into 15 wards, and that voting occurred in all of them under the same arrangement of one candidate.<\/p>\n
In his remarks, Odukoya identified himself and reiterated the scope of the process. He noted that accredited voter records showed a total of 24,953 voters, while Tinubu received 24,948 votes. He also emphasized that he was not authorized to declare a final winner at the local level, adding that the formal declaration would be made in Abuja.<\/p>\n
He further pointed out that Tinubu\u2019s tally was just under the accredited figure, describing the difference as fewer than ten votes. \u201cHe scored the majority,\u201d Odukoya said, before returning the result for the purpose of the primary, and he thanked those present for their participation in the proceedings.<\/p>\n
