Writing a book has become a must with South African zalebs and joining the queue this time is Jen Su.
Su was inspired to write by recent efforts made by Gareth Cliff, Khanyi Mbau, and Kelly Khumalo about her personal experiences.
Jen promises it won’t be a “tell all” book but a handbook of some of her “tricks of the trade”; how to network and succeed in different media markets in the world. “It won’t be an autobiography or anything too scandalous but will rather draw on personal experiences as references.
“My formula to my world domination is a mix of Asian graces and Western assertiveness that has helped me achieve my goals in Asia, America, and Africa. The book will have a South African influence, however, it will have many stories from Asia, America, Hollywood, and Joziwood!”, said Jen.
“There have been literally hundreds of friends and fans on Facebook and Twitter, who constantly ask me, ’How did you make it?’ ‘How can I do what you’re doing?’. So many people want to shadow me or hide in my suitcase! I had also been approached by a number of publishers and I thought it might be a great opportunity to share a few secrets and help people who are like me – people who started out knowing no one and making their dreams come true!”, said Jen.
Apparently Jen hasn’t decided on a title for the book – can you think of any suggestions for her? Comment below and let us know!
Jen’s book will be released in 2013.
