Bonnie Henna opens up to ZAlebs about her plans for Christmas day.

What are your plans for Christmas day?

I’ve kind of avoided cooking for the past couple years so this year I plan on doing a big fat feast! I’ll be inviting some friends and family around to spend the day eating, drinking and watching DVDs.  For me the holidays are about resting as well – you don’t want to get tired from holiday and still need to rest!

What’s on the menu for lunch?

I’m not a fan of turkey – I find the meat a bit too tough. So instead I’ll be making a variation of dishes. We’ve had such hot weather lately so I think a combination of light meats and salads will go down very well,  foods that don’t get you full too quickly.

What’s your favourite part about Christmas?

In general I feel that people tend to be a bit more grateful around this time of year. There’s an air of gratitude and thankfulness. People also tend to breathe more! They’re excited for the prospects of the new year that lies ahead.

What’s on your Christmas wish list?

I think I want the latest i-Pad. That’s what I want. And a big fat shopping spree!

Speaking of shopping, what kind of Christmas shopper are you?

Unfortunately I’m a last minute shopper…
