It’s an excuse to get the family and friends together, usually for a day outside in the sun.

…meat…just joking! Spicy Chakalaka, Mrs Balls and my mum’s delicious potato salad.

The men cook for a change!

MEAT! Butternut, mielies, homemade veggie patti’s, spicy sausages, ribs…

I love our weather. There’s simply no better way to enjoy the sun we have in this glorious country without having a welcoming fire with some wors on the braai.
What do you like to Braai?
I love to braai wors. It’s quick, it’s South African and you can eat it while you stand by the braai.
No braai is complete without…
…friends. You can’t really say that you are having a braai without having friends there. It’s the ultimate afternoon chill. Some cold drinks, music, laughter and your friends – it’s the only way to enjoy a summers day.
What is your favorite thing about a South African braai?
My favourite thing about a braai is that it brings people together and temporarily turns enemies into friends.
What do you like to braai?
I like to braai lamb, full body…depends on the budget of course, mara spit braai is number one!

…complimentary beverages…a nice cold beer always goes down well!
