Joburg’s premiere rooftop lounge, Randlords will this year partner with The Ntshulisa Foundation (TNF) and Footsoldiers to host the annual FAB (Fighting AIDS Beautifully) gala dinner, held to raise funds for the TNF projects and raise awareness on the plight of HIV and AIDS orphans in South Africa.
The Fighting AIDS Beautifully awareness fundraiser, to be held on the 1st December to commemorate World Aids Day, is a prestigious and elite seated three course meal affair with elements of entertainment and a fund-raising auction of fashionable, sporting and artistic objects.
“With estimates of close to two million children orphaned by HIV and AIDS in this country, it is important that we all pull together to raise awareness about their plight and raise funds to help,” says Randlords general manager, Nizbert Fuzane.
The core objective of this initiative includes raising funds to implement an annual platform to speak out about HIV/AIDS among the youth of South Africa, and ultimately the African continent.
“TNF would like to thank both Randlords and Footsoldiers for supporting us in this important initiative. As we approach World AIDS Day, we hope that everyone will come out to show their support by attending the FABulous event! Our goal is to raise funds to allow us to continue our work with HIV infected and affected orphans and vulnerable children around the country,” says Karissa Samuel, TNF founder.
