The list of nominees for YOU Spectacular is out and, once again, YOU is getting ready for one of the biggest award ceremonies in SA showbiz. This year’s event will be held at The Teatro at Montecasino, Fourways, on Saturday 28 July. The new venue offers more dramatic and dazzling staging possibilities – it’s where successful shows such as The Lion King and Phantom of the Opera have been presented. Fans and stars are in for more than a few surprises and jaw-dropping moments.

YOU Spectacular is always a glamorous affair and stars show up in their very best attire to vie for awards such as Sexiest Woman, Favourite Music Star, Favourite Newcomer and Favourite TV Presenter.

This year the public will also vote in a new, exciting category: Favourite Comedian. See the nominees listed below.

It is up to the fans to decide who will win the most awards. Last year popular Top Billing presenter Jeannie D walked away with three awards.

If you would like to be at the award ceremony, get your ticket at R100 a person at Computicket. And don’t forget to vote.

Presenters will be dressed by South Africa’s No 1 online fashion store ZANDO (stet) (zando.co.za) and everyone who votes for their favourite celeb stands a chance to win one of 10 vouchers worth R1 000 each to spend at ZANDO (stet).

Black Opal will again give excellent beauty advice at the event and will glam up some of the ceremony-goers and nominees.

Fans who vote for their favourite star will also be in line for the big prize of a luxury holiday for two in Mauritius, sponsored by Island Light Holidays.
