Tori Nearly Died…

Blonde actress Tori Spelling said that her last pregnancy almost killed her. When she was carrying now-newborn son Finn, she was diagnosed with placenta previa at 20 weeks. The condition causes internal bleeding, but Spelling battled through.

When diagnosed, she was rushed to hospital and spent 10 weeks being treated. She also spent four months in bed, and almost had to terminate the pregnancy to stay alive.

Spelling, who is married to Dean McDermott, can only say the ordeal made the bond between her and Finn Davey much stronger. She said, ‘When they put him in my arms I was like, ‘We made it.’ We have an insane bond. We’ve been through hell and back’.

Spelling is 39 years old and has three other children, and admits that her biggest fear when she was told she might die carrying her fourth child was leaving her other children behind without a mother.

Congratulations to the happy family on their fourth bundle of joy!

Wilde: My Vagina Passed Away

Olivia Wilde has revealed that her vagina once died… but not to worry, it has miraculously come back to life to appease new boyfriend Jason Sudeikis.

The sexy actress made the rather weird revelation to Vulture Magazine, admitting that her lack of a sex life with former lover Tao Ruspoli led to the death of her lady part.

She said: ‘I felt like my vagina died. Turned off. Lights out . . . you can lie to your relatives at Christmas dinner and tell them everything on the home front is just peachy. But you cannot lie to your vagina.’

‘Sometimes your vagina dies. Then you know it’s time to go. There’s no reason to sacrifice your womanhood and femininity for some sort of weird feeling of responsibility to something that may not be right. I feel like far too many women do that.’

However, everything seems to be fine now that she is with Saturday Night Live star Sudeikis, with a source close to the couple admitting that their sessions in the bedroom resemble that of a Kenyan marathon runner during a tough race.

Yoko’s Gaga for … Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga was in Iceland on Tuesday, accepting a LennonOno Grant for Peace. The pop sensation will donate her money to the Elton John Aids Foundation to assist orphans and disadvantaged youth with HIV or Aids as they try to survive.

According to GirlsTalkinSmack, Ono said that Lady Gaga was in a top position around the world as a singer and songwriter, and people in that position didn’t usually want to risk it for anything. However, Lady Gaga is different, and Ono says she is dedicated to remaining ‘compassionate in a cynical age’.

Gaga was honoured with the grant because of her charitable foundations, including her Body Revolution 2013 campaign and her Born This Way Foundation.

Lady Gaga dressed for the occasion, wearing a demure outfit in comparison to her usual craziness, but she said when accepting her prize, ‘I’m supremely honoured to accept this grant and award today on behalf of youth empowerment around the world.’ She added, ‘I dare you to be compassionate in a cynical age.’

Russian rockers Pussy Riot also received an honour from Ono for their activism.

Cruise Gets A Good ‘Ol Spanking

Tom Cruise has been involved in some strange incidents over the years, but this one is probably our favourite.

During celebrations for fellow actor Matt Damon’s 42nd birthday in London, Cruise was smacked on the bum by a drag queen.

Whether he liked it or not is unknown, but it seems something like this was on the cards given the risque nature of the venue the party was held at.

An insider told The Daily Star newspaper: ‘Emily Blunt’s husband John Krasinski organised the kinky party, and chose to have it at Simon Hammerstein’s The Box club.

‘He knew the birthday boy (Damon) would see the funny side. Within the first couple of hours Tom and Matt were both paddled on their rears by the club’s cross-dressing hostess.

‘Matt got extra spanking, of course, as it was his special night.’

Maybe Tom is just a sucker for punishment?

Big Bird’s Gay Beginnings

After the first US Presidential Debate on October 3, Sesame Street’s famous Big Bird scored somewhat of a career revival when Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney tipped his hat to the character, saying, ‘I love Big Bird’.

However, what Romney might not have realised by making his controversial statement was that he was unintentionally referencing the work of a longtime gay couple.

Christopher Lyall helped his partner Kermit Love to produce the first Big Bird in 1969. He told The Daily Beast, ‘[Kermit] was very particular about the way the bird looked, and he always got his way. He was a very determined person.’

Lyall, who was once a dancer, met Love when rehearsing for a show inLondon, and they became a couple when he visited the US.

Meanwhile, Sesame Street has expressed its disgust that one of its iconic characters is being used for political purposes after the Obama campaign released a new advert featuring Big Bird. Officials of the show have released an official statement requesting that both presidential campaigns stop making use of its characters.

The Daily Beast reports the statement as follows: ‘Sesame Workshop is a nonpartisan non-profit organisation and we do not endorse candidates or participate in political campaigns. We have approved no campaign ads, and, as is our general practice, have requested that both campaigns remove ‘Sesame Street’ characters and trademarks from their campaign materials.’

We wonder if either presidential campaign really cares who they’re stepping on at this point?

Wait A Minute! Rihanna Would Marry Chris Brown?!

In what is sure to be one of the most shocking bits of news of the year, Rihanna has allegedly started talking about marrying Chris Brown.

Rihanna, who was abused and beaten by Brown, has been showing signs of forgiveness toward the R&B singer of late, but nobody saw this coming.

A close friend of Rihanna told Star Magazine: ‘No one close to them would be a bit shocked if they suddenly eloped.

‘Rihanna has told her close friends point blank — I would marry Chris.’

‘She even says she would have never left him if the media scrutiny didn’t get so bad. They’re passionate, and when they’re drunk, they’ve both made many comments about getting married.’

The talk of possible marriage gathered pace earlier in the week when Brown paid off his former girlfriend – possibly paving the way for a wedding with a certain 24-year-old?

‘Neither Rihanna nor Chris want to make things harder for her than they already are,’ the source added.

‘Chris wants to set her up financially and do right by her – he wants her to stay in his life if possible.’

We think this is a bit bonkers, to be honest.

Losing Weight is as Easy as …?

Reality star and singer Kelly Osbourne seems to have lost a lot of weight lately (has she swapped with Christina Aguilera we wonder?), and many are certainly wondering how she is doing it.

But apparently it’s as simple as paying attention to colour.

An anonymous source told Now magazine that Osbourne eats food that is a different colour from her plate. The theory is that when you eat meals with a similar colour to your plate, you eat as much as 20% more than you do if you eat off a different coloured plate.

The source added, ‘Five months after Kelly started the plan, the results are there for all to see.’ The source also said that Kelly takes her plates with her wherever she goes.

We wonder if she has a plate in every colour, and if so, how does she carry them all?

I Want The Toaster… And A Few Million Dollars

Despite being paid the highest salary in television ($700,000 per episode), Two And A Half Men star Ashton Kutcher is stalling on his divorce with Demi Moore for money reasons.

Ashton does not like how things are shaping up with regard to the financial terms and asset splitting of the divorce, and now wants more time to sort things out properly.

While Kutcher and Moore are still legally married, the actor has reportedly moved in with girlfriend Mila Kunis, making the situation even more sticky.

A source told US Weekly magazine the actor is ‘so cheap’ for refusing to sign off on the divorce and it appears this could drag on for some time.

It is weird what Hollywood stars will do for money, even when they already have more than enough.

Multiple Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong has obviously never heard that saying before…

According to a report by the US Anti-Doping Agency, Armstrong and his team ran a doping scheme for years, and 11 of his former teammates have apparently come forward to out him.

The report, which details the charges against the cyclist, contains testimony from these 11 former friends that shows that the sporting great was at the head of the doping conspiracy for all those years.

The evidence against Armstrong and his team is undeniably strong, according to USADA chief executive Travis Tygart.

Armstrong overcame cancer to return to cycling, and won the Tour de France from 1999 to 2005, when retired, but returned in 2009 before retiring again in 2011. Armstrong has denied the doping charges, but strangely has not contested them, and the International Cycling Union has 21 days to appeal or comply with stripping Armstrong of his cycling titles and ban him for life.

Well, we guess the morale of all those with cancer holding Armstrong up as inspiration has dropped suddenly…

Drinking Is Clearly Not For Everyone…

Sexy singer Taylor Swift has revealed that she is very fussy when it comes to what she drinks – and possibly a little bit weird.

The 22-year-old has a very clean record when you compare her to some of the party girls out there, but that may just be because she can’t find the right type of alcohol to consume.

She told Esquire magazine: ‘If it doesn’t taste like candy or sparkles, I usually don’t drink it.’

Now we are not experts in the field of alcoholic beverages, but surely those sorts of drinks are very difficult to come by?

Moving on to the topic of love (as you do when alcohol is involved), Swift admits the only way to do it is by going all in with your partner.

She said: ‘The way I look at love is you have to follow it, and fall hard, if you fall hard. You have to forget about what everyone else thinks.

‘It has to be an us-against-the-world mentality. You have to make it work by prioritising it, and by falling in love really fast, without thinking too hard. If I think too hard about a relationship I’ll talk myself out of it.

‘I have rules for a lot of areas of my life. Love is not going to be one of them.’
